Two Frenchmen at AF Corse in ELMS

The AF Corse team will take on the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) this season with two Frenchmen, Matthieu Vaxiviere and François Perrodo, alongside Ben Barnicoat.

Two Frenchmen at AF Corse in ELMS

AF Corse, an Italian team with French accents. The Amato team Ferrari announced the crew that will participate in the European Le Mans Series in 2023.

Among the three official drivers, we will find two Tricolores: François Perrodo, present at AF Corse since 2020 (with a first participation in LM P2 last season) and Matthieu Vaxiviere. The vice-world champion ofEndurance with Alpine will follow a double program WEC-ELMS in 2023. He was already present aboard the No. 88 AF Corse during the 24 Hours of Daytona at the end of January, with a 3rd place in the LM P2 category.

The third man on the Italian team will be Ben Barnicoat, who returns to the ELMS four years after his last participation, in 2019. In 2022 alone, the Briton won the 12 Hours of the Gulf, the Asian Le Mans Series, Petit Le Mans and became vice-champion of the championship IMSA in the GTD Pro category.

AF Corse finished the 2022 European championship in 9th place in the European Le Mans Series, and became ELMS vice-champion in the Pro/Am. In 2023, the Italian team will aim for the Pro/Am title with this experienced line-up with a good track record.
