DKR Engineering lost its Michelin victory Le Mans Cup at the end of the final in Portimao (Portugal). The Norma M 30 of Julien Glorieux and Alexander Toril was checked with non-compliant gasoline. Victory thus went to the Ligier JS P3 Motorsport98 of Éric de Doncker and Andrew Meyrik, ahead of the No. 55 Spirit of Race of Sdanewitsch-Rugolo and the No. 22 United Autosports of McGuire-Bell. The Luxembourg team secured the title during the previous event at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium).
