The first free practice session of the European Le Mans Series on the Silverstone track in England was dominated on a wet track by the Oreca 05 of Thiriet by TDS Racing. The trio Pierre Thiriet – Ryo Hirakawa – Mathias Beche was the fastest with a best lap completed in 2'08″679. The Greaves Motorsport Ligier JS P2-Nissan of Memo Rojas, Julien Canal and Jakub Giermaziak is in second position at 0″555, while the top trio of the session is completed by the SMP Racing BR 01 of Andreas Wirth – Stefano Coletti – Julian Leal.
In LM P3, the Duqueine Engineering Ligier JS P3 of Dino Lunardi – David Droux – David Hallyday was the fastest in 2'13″329 ahead of the sister cars from United Autosports and Graff Racing. In GTE, the best time went toAston Martin Vantage #99.
