ELMS – Jota and Turvey on pole

Just like during Friday's free practice, it was the Jota Sport team which set the best time in qualifying at Silverstone for the first round of the European Le Mans Series. In the #11 Zytek Z38SN-Nissan, it was Briton Oliver Turvey who took pole position in 1:48:032. The crew he forms with Simon Dolan will start in front of the No. 03 Murphy Prototypes Oreca 18 driven by the Hartley-Patterson pair. For his big return to competition in Endurance, L?Alpine Signatech n°36 – called the A450 ? will start from third position. Nelson Panciatici, who is teaming up with Pierre Ragues, concluded this qualifying session just over a second behind the poleman.

In the LM PC category, Paul-Loup Chatin, who teams up with the Swiss Gary Hirsch, stood out again by setting the best time (1'54"102) aboard the Team's No. 09 Oreca 47 FLM Endurance Challenge. Ram Racing and Johnny Mowlem set the best time in LM GTE aboard the Ferrari F458 Italia n°52 shared with Matt Griffin. It is the Momo Megatron DF1 team and its Audi R8 Lms driven by Raffi Bader, Dylan Derdaele and Kuba Giermaziak which is in the lead in GTC.

Start of the 3 Hours of Silverstone at 16 p.m. French time (15 p.m. in England).
