The Murphy Prototypes, which is lining up this weekend in ELMS in Imola his new recruit for the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2014, the Frenchman Nathanaël Berthon, achieved the best time in the first free practice session on the transalpine track. The Oreca 03 shared by Berthon – Karun Chandhok and Rodolfo Gonzalez set a time of 1’36″337 and is ahead of theAlpine Signatech A450-Alpine by Nelson Panciatici – Oliver Webb – Paul-Loup Chatin. The Zytek Z11SN – Nissan from JOTA Sport takes 3rd place. The Sebastian Loeb Racing and its Oreca 03 entrusted to Jan Charouz and Vincent Capillaire, ranks 8th.
In GTE, the contingent of Ferrari 458 Italia dominated this first session with the SMP Racing car of Andrea Bertolini and Viktor Shaitar. They are ahead of the 458 sisters of Kessel Racing of Michael Broniszewski and Giacomo Piccini and of AT Racing, entrusted to the trio Talkanitsa – Talkanitsa Jr – Kaffer.
In the GTC category, it is once again a Ferrari 458 Italia from SMP Racing which takes the lead with the car of Olivier Beretta – David Markozov and Anton Ladygin.
The second free practice session will start at 15:45 p.m.
