Andrea Pizzitola, champion Renault reigning Sport Trophy, will drive the Algarve Pro Racing Ligier JS P2-Nissan for four races as part of the European Le Mans Series (Red Bull Ring, Castellet, Spa-Francorchamps, Estoril.) as well as 24 Hours of Le Mans. He will be a reserve driver on the rounds ELMS from Silverstone and Imola.
The 23-year-old from Montpellier will benefit from the recent confirmation of the presence of the Lusitanian team (who took advantage of the packages of theAston Martin TDS Racing and the first reservist Greaves Motorsport) in Sarthe next June to start on the Sarthe double clock tour.
Renault and Nissan have bet on Andrea Pizzitola to represent the Franco-Japanese duo and will give the Frenchman the status of Alliance Athlete. The former French F4 vice-champion will continue his program as a Renault RS 01 development driver in parallel.
