The first round of the 2020 Michelin season Le Mans Cup was notably marked by the intervention of the safety car following contact between the No. 320 Ligier JS P37 of Cool Racing and the No. 08 Duqueine D66 of Rinaldi Racing. Contact resulting from a maneuver by Steve Parrow which, hopefully, will not go unpunished.

At the end of the two hours of racing, it was the three-time defending team DKR Engineering who won thanks to Laurents Hörr and Jean Glorieux. The No. 08 Duqueine D3 beat two Ligier JS P320s, namely the No. 98 of Motorsport98 entrusted to Eric de Doncker-Dino Lunardi and the No. 26 fielded by Graff for Matthias Kaiser-Rory Penttinen.

In GT3, victory went to the Ferrari 488 GT3 n°8 from Iron Lynx at the wheel of which we find Giacomo Piccini and Rino Mastronardi. Followed by the #488 3 GT67 of Murod Sultanov-Paolo Ruberti (Kessel Racing) and the #77 of Claudio Schiavoni-Andrea Piccini (Iron Lynx).

The next round of the Michelin Le Mans Cup will be held on August 8 at Spa-Francorchamps.
