IMSA brings together different categories of cars. The highest is the Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) and corresponds to the WEC Hypercar. The top speed necessarily depends on the circuit visited but the prototypes easily exceed 300 km/h. The other categories are LM P2, LM P3, and GT Daytona (GTD Pro / GTD).
IMSA is an American automobile racing organization based in Daytona Beach, Florida. By extension, we often speak of IMSA to refer to the US Endurance Championship, the overseas cousin of the FIA WEC.
IMSA generally broadcasts its races in streaming on its official website, with the comments in original language. In France, Automoto channel offers the biggest events, such as the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring.
