What is the maximum speed of a car in WEC?

The Hypercars have revised their level of performance downwards compared to the LM P1s. Kamui Kobayashi Toyota set the new Le Mans track record in 2017 in 3'14''791 at an average speed of 251,9 km/h on the Toyota TS050. During the 2021 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the maximum speed recorded was 339,1 km/h recorded on the 72nd lap of the race, still by the Japanese driver, at the wheel of the Toyota GR010.

What is WEC?

The WEC is the acronym for World Endurance Championship, for world endurance championship. This is a competition recognized by the FIA. The WEC celebrates its 11th season in 2023 with the takeoff of the Hypercar category.

Where to watch the WEC?

The WEC is visible in France on the Eurosport channels as well as on L'Équipe. The Endurance World Championship is also available via a subscription to online services on the competition's official website.
